Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in a well-established pediatric and developmental care center based in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about enhancing the lives of children and young individuals with disabilities and developmental delays through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, sensory, and interaction skills.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and goals.
• Deliver direct therapy services and monitor progress toward therapeutic outcomes.
• Liaise effectively with families, caregivers, medical professionals, and educational staff to coordinate care and ensure continuity of support.
• Recommend and facilitate necessary environmental adaptations and assistive devices.
• Document assessments, treatment goals, progress notes, and discharge plans in accordance with clinical standards.
• Provide training and education to caregivers and families.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case reviews.
• Engage in the planning and delivery of group sessions, health education initiatives, and community engagement programs.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify plans accordingly.

Work Environment

• Based in a leading child-focused therapy and medical center in Dubai.
• May require shift-based hours, including extended hours and occasional holiday work, depending on clinical needs.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in pediatric settings.
• Proven ability to manage complex caseloads involving developmental delays, physical disabilities, and sensory integration challenges.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Occupational Therapy (HAAD,HPCSA, DHA, MOH, or equivalent).

Desirable:

• Postgraduate certifications in specialized therapy techniques (e.g., sensory integration, neurodevelopmental treatment).
• Multicultural experience and exposure to international therapy settings.

Physical Requirements

• Inpatient Setting: Medium workload – up to 50 lbs with frequent handling of 25 lbs items.
• Outpatient Setting: Light workload – up to 20 lbs with regular handling of 10 lbs.

• Competence in documentation, treatment planning, and therapy delivery.
• Familiarity with therapy-focused software tools and EMR systems.

• Deductive and inductive reasoning abilities for problem-solving.
• Organizational and information-ordering skills for case management.


Technology Tools:

• Proficiency in therapy-specific software such as Boardmaker, Casamba, and EMRs like PrognoCIS or similar.
• Working knowledge of text-to-speech, OCR, and adaptive technology tools.

CORE Requirements:
